Post #0088 - KUL to SG : SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands

Dear Earthlings,
WARNING : Pictures overload.
We went to Esplanade to watch the light show at the Marina Bay Sands. The show starts at 8pm every night. Not sure how many minutes was the show, but I think it was around 20 minutes.

Beautiful isn't it?

On the next day, we decided to walk from our hotel to Marina Bay Sands. Since it was near to Sg. Independence Day, they closed down few roads making way for the rehearsal, hence causing us to detour.
The bridge connecting to the Marina Bay Sands
Cant remember the name of this place. Was it Science Ctr?

The weather was so hot! We immediately make our way straight to the mall - Free air cond :P

Went in few shops & cafes -
Believe it or not, someone fell down into this pool

Then to the SkyPark -
Located at Tower 3

You actually have to get out from the Mall and proceed to the next tower. A bit tricky, but you can get the direction from the Information Counter. The man in charge was very well verse with the area (though the area is still new). Thumbs up!

There was not so many people queuing for the ticket, so we got ours in a nick of time.
Paid S$20 each

And wallah.. !

Picture anyone?

Right from the exit, you will see this view -
New projects coming up. (mid right is actually a Dam)

Few more steps to the main observation deck -

Truthfully, I was disappointed to see that the decking is not like I was hoping for, though it's huge. I know that's what  observation deck is all about, but I I feel that it's 'too empty' and so humid.
Or maybe it is just me.

The souvenir shop -

More view -

Also the one that I always check on - the toilet!

Again, I was dissappointed. Their toilets were so simple (and smelly - due to many users. Euwww!) and I was hoping that they have a lavish toilet. Perhaps (at least) together with a butler because I have been planting my mind with 6 stars service.
Just like the one that we have in our very own KLCC premier toilet - a butler, perfumes etc :)

Actually, that was all about it.
Which I think S$20 each is a total rip off. We were informed that the visitors are not allowed to go to the hotel area (basically the infinity pool) Boo hoo!

However, we followed the crowd and managed to be at the pool area.
This is the most that you can see from the deck

Post #0086 - KUL to SG : Makan-makan & fat burning

Dear Earthlings,
Since our room is located at the Club Floor, we were entitled to have breakfast on the upper floor - Meritus Club Lounge, overlooking the city.

Here, they sort of have exclusive use of the facilities like meeting room, internet as well as dining.
Lounge Area

Meeting Room
Unlimited Usage of Internet
Below is the dining area.
To me, it's a bit weird because I normally go for breakfast without taking any shower. Busuk-busuk. But here, you have to dress up nicely, otherwise you'll feel awkward because most of the patrons were dressed up.
Ok fine. Maybe it is just me who go for breakfast busuk-busuk.
So kg.com kan? hahaha..
They not only serve breakfast, but also complimentary evening cocktails and canapes, light snacks and refreshment.
Anyways, the food selection was ok. I wouldn't say it was superb because the spread was just like any other buffet - cereals, salads, fruits, local kuih, and couple more heavy meal located at the other side of the room. The chef on duty will be waiting at the window kitchen, just in case the patron would like to order anything for breakfast.

I wasn't look forward for the food actually. I was more towards the ambiance because this was my first time having breakfast at the Club Floor. Yes, it felt like living rich and famous because we were served privately and the patrons seems like orang-orang kaya. (Except for us, d'uh!) and of course, this area was separated from the normal breakfast - which located at the fifth floor (if i'm not mistaken)

Believe it or not, right after breakfast I went straight to the Gym for the first time in many-many years. Seriously, I was exhausted after two minutes riding. Then I got distracted and started to wonder around.

Post #0084 - KUL to SG

Dear Earthlings,
Last month, I managed to have few days leave, hence quickly booked the ticket. Coincidentally, my flight was the same night with Big Sis' flight. The only difference, her flight was heading to Korea, while mine.. not too far away.

Yes.. I'm going to meet him.

Being me, kinda a last minute person. On the day of departure, baru terhegeh-hegeh to request for roaming. Unfortunately (I went to KLCC and KL Central) both places claimed that they can't do anything because the network was down. Whatever. So I gambled.

Since I'll be roamingless, I texted GadgetGeek that I will meet him at the arrival exit prior my departure. (not knowing that there are two exits in Changi : with luggage/without luggage)
Anyways, I traveled light whereby I only brought one hand luggage. Instead of exiting the gate after the custom, I went through the one with luggage (while GadgetGeek was waiting for me at the other exit).

Lucky that I'm smart enough to stay put at the (wrong) exit, and let GadgetGeek to look for me. Yeah, sometimes I can be thaaaaat bimbs. So, after 20 minutes of waiting he finally saw me at the sitting area :)

Dear Earthlings,
Look what I found in Sg. So cute isn't it? Not sure whether it is already in Malaysia market or not.

It comes in 3 color - Pink, Blue and Yellow (crocs chameleon).
The pink shoes will transform to purple, Yellow to Green and Blue to Light Blue if the shoes are under the sun/light.

So cool!!

Post #0081 - Take things for granted I have

Dear Earthlings,
At times.. (err.. I think most of the time) I feel that I take things for granted.
I have to admit that GadgetGeek pampers me a lot and not to brag, but we kinda always have the so-called first class treatment. We want the best service that we can afford. Anything under the par would be no-no. I mean, I take it too.. but not whole heartedly.
When I constantly have fine things, I tend to not appreciate what I have, until my boss lectured me about what life is all about. Boo-hoo!
Karma says, what goes up must comes down.

Previously I told her that I want this.. this.. and this. Have high expectation and demanding what I really want in life.  Avoid some people that I don't favor. Me myself couldn't believe that me behaving in such a way. I swear to you, this is so not me! I was a sweet girl you know :P

I don't know when I started developing this sickness. I believe that I don't appreciate people around me that much. Even my grandmother's grave (who passed away few days after I gave birth to Youngster #2) I have yet to visit. I don't even know where her grave is.
Let alone GadgekGeek's great-great grandmother and grandmother who passed away few months back. We have yet to visit their graves.

I find graveyard is a sad place to be. I don't know.
I was there when my grandfather died 18 years ago. But only visited his grave for the first time two years back, and didn't return ever since. After all, I believe that the Receiver can still get our prayers even we don't visit their grave.

Immediate family, yes I value them. But when it comes to extended family.. I don't care that much. Exception to relatives that we really close.

Which also the reason why Almighty grant GadgetGeek to me. Because most of the time, he will drag me to any family events. But this year, I think he is too tied up with his work. Leaving me freely not attending any family event (touch and go type of family) :P

After a talk with my boss, I realised that it is not physical material that makes us happy. It's the quality time that we spend.

On one side, if you don't have any kid yet, then your partner would be your pillar of strength. You have no one but him in this world (apart from your family).

But when the children come into our lives, we should appreciate our time to be with them. Time flies very fast. From newborn  comes the first birthday.. then she started walking.. talking and all you know, she goes to school, find new love and get married. Leaving us. (This is due to numerous complaint to my boss that family outing is one hassle thing)

It's something like the crucial first six years the child will depending on us. Entering the 7th year, she will busy with her school and friends. Then if she excels, she enters the boarding school on the 13th year, leaving us. Fast forward, she will not be with us as it continuously to uni life, and marriage comes into the picture.

Technically, we have about six years only to really-really bond with our children. Then, they will spread their wings and fly.

I have to thank her for pulling me back down to the root.
$$ has distracted me.

Post #0079 : Ol' skool. Please enlighten me

Dear Earthlings,
First of all, I have to agree that "jodoh di tangan tuhan" and what's written to us is a fate.
Speaking of marriage, many of us believe that women tend to be more materialistic than men due to security. Security need not comes from monetary only. It covers love security as well. That's why jealousy is women second bestfriend.

Anyways, that is not the point. The issue here is today's trend. Nowadays, i've seen so many men go after ladies with moolah : gold mine/jackpot.. U name it.

Rich woman + Rich man = is a different story
X $ lady  + Rich man = clever
X $ man + Rich lady = create rumours

I'm not saying that i don't believe in fate. But, it's not fair for the lady if the man sees what the lady can offer him first, instead of getting to know her.
The situation is something like this -
The man knows that lady is a daughter of so and so. Has this and that.
So the next move is to get close with her.
Let she fell in love with him. Got married so he will be on the A list.
This is when the love is questionable. To me, at least.

I personally believe that a man should work his arse out. Bring food to the table. After all, he is the head of family. Why take the lady as a stepping stone and rely to others?

Post #0078 - The Dearly Beloved

Dear Earthlings,
At a certain age, wedding invitation rarely reach you and start receiving the  baby shower, birth announcements, kids birthdays etc instead. As so, this is where I am now.

I couldn't remember when was the last time I attend a wedding; which also explains why I stop tailoring my dress and just wear what ever that fit me in my closet. I couldn't be bothered about new clothes, new shoes, new handbags. You name it.
Unless, if I know a wedding coming up (way in advance.. say 6 months at least) then only I make an effort. Otherwise, what you see is what you get.
Like last Sunday, I received a wedding invitation from my junior.
Two hours before the reception, I THOUGHT I have something nice to wear, but in reality I have nothing. Seriously.
This is when I wished I tailored at least a piece or two a proper dress to an event. And this is not the first time I feel such a way. Sigh.

So the last resort was -
I spared my dress to my family's place and headed straight to Lil Sis I's wardrobe with the intention to beg for her dress. Previously.. when I was single... err.. that was like 5 years ago (so fast?) .. err.. we used to share clothes. I mean, it was me who always take her tops. Actually, it's more like borrowing without returning. Hehe.. Merely because we were off the same size - UK6.

Then on that one fine Sunday evening, me.. confidently picked her nicest dress.
It didn't take me long trying out one dress to another. The dresses barely can be zipped, most of the second piece can only fit to my knees. My God. It was depressing.

The depressing was more because of my mom. She was in the same room, watching and at the same time kept on yacking me to exercise. Bla.Bla.Bla.
WTH. What was I thinking? I know I gained few pounds, but mentally, think that I'm still slim as before. pfft.
(Which also explains why I keep on differing my exercise routine :)

After an hour (plus), I gave up and just wear what ever that can fit me.

Anyways, picture of the couple.
Held at Villa Felda, Kuala Lumpur.

Post #0076 - 100 days to cut off the fats

Dear Earthlings,
Errm.. I think I can go on and on blabbering about my tummy though my laziness prevails.

Until, recently GadgetGeek started to work out.
He was out from the gym since 2009 due to work commitment and now decided to have that 6 pack abs again. Sigh..
I have to admit that it actually freaks me out.
Now I REALLY-REALLY NEED TO TONE UP MY MUSCLES. Ok fine.
I mean, I need to shrink my belly.
1000 crunches push ups/sit ups a day, here I come!

Dear Earthlings,
Each time Youngster #1 throws her tantrum, it indicates that it's about time for us to have a family outing (outings to malls are not counted). FYI, this trip was about two weeks ago.

As usual, it was unplanned. GadgetGeek proposed to go to Genting, but then since we were underdressed (left sweaters at home) the trip was diverted to Sunway Lagoon instead.

Can't remember how much we paid for the entrance, but the Youngsters went in for free (they did the height measurement) and we had to take 3 parks altogether - Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park.

We took turn on the rides, and for the Water Park GadgetGeek had to get new shorts in the nearby store.. due to err.. lack of preparation?

This picture was taken at the Wildlife Park. We unstrapped Youngster #1 from her stroller, and let she wonders around the park.

For picture taking, there was no charge. But if you satisfied with the picture and wanted to have a copy of it, RM 35 is the price for each picture.

The Water Park.
I remained seated at the bench with Youngster #2 while GadgetGeek and Youngster #1 went for splish splash at the kids pool. But before we left the Park, GadgetGeek took Youngster #2 for a quick dip at the pool :)

And it was one hot day!! **sweating like nobody's business**

Post #0074 : Yada.. Yada.. Yada..

Dear Earthlings,
Oh Yes.
I've complained about it before.
But this time, not only my Youngster #1 ("amboi mummy.. BIG stomach" - while rubbing my tummy), to add in salt, my mom and my evil sisters also bug me with the same thing.

I know i need to do something mainly because i hate to hear people nag and make fun of me. I hope the FATs are yet to rest in peace in my belly :)
The thing is when is the best time?
Now? Errrrr...
