Post #0225 - No pain no gain

Dear Earthlings,

Felt chest pain and feverish the moment I stepped into my house from work which I thought it was a stress from the presence of my new superior. It turned out that I have pneumonia. Muahaha..
Buruk sangka punya pasal.

Anyways,
will try to update (I doubt it) the overdue entry with limited internet. Our current house internet has been terminated because we plan to move by end of the month. Insha Allah.

The new house is not really done yet, but all the essential things semua dah complete. So yang itsy bitsy here and there, will do slowly and pejam mata je lah.

Also planned not to subscribe to Astro anymore. Boleh hidup ke tanpa Astro? Sure boleh!
Our current Astro, subscribe to full package pon macam useless. Tapi yang dapat view cuma few channels macam movie channels and ch709. The rest mcm ikut mood nak appear or not. Like Disney Channels. Semua Disney channel ada except Channel PlayHouse Disney.

Malas nak panggil technician what not sebab nanti another charge.. bla.. bla.. Pastu kasi reason Astro kat this area memang macam tu.
Blurghh.. whatever.
Sick and tired of it.

80% of the things, we have transferred to the new house. What's left to pack now is just our kitchen utensils, clothes and tv. Other heavy furniture like bed, cupboard, dining table, couch, fridge, washer & dryer we leave as is. Plan to pass to my Mom in law as her weekend/weekday house since she is working in downtown KL.

If time (and internet) permits, I will share some tips in curtain and carpet hunting.

Post #0254 - Month Two, February

Dear Earthlings,

I know! I know!
I've been lacking in updating the Hong Kong Trip. Will do so when I have time to upload the pictures.

Life been busy.. or was I too tired to do anything?
Anyways, my kitchen cabinet is still not done yet. It's more like, 80% complete. The countertop should be installed today, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to call it off and the installation can only be done after Chinese New Year Holiday, meaning.. near end of the month!

On the other side,
I had a neck pain since last week. I woke up one morning and bammm! it hurts like err.. *skip the word*.
Went to see the Spine Orthopedic and it's confirmed that I'm under the slipped disc group. Definitely  not something  that I expect though.
Apparently, it's inter-connected with the numbness of my left hand which I suffer since last year. So now, I'm attending the physiotherapy for a month, and if the therapy doesn't work, a key hold surgery is next on the list, which takmo laa kan.

How la to get preggie next month? hmm.. It means, this is the second year I'm postponing my pregnancy.

Dear Earthlings,

I realised that I have been slacking in updating this blog. Been busy lately as the BlueCompany has recently moved to a new building. Though it is just a kilometre away from the previous office, only God knows how miserable my life is. The reasons are solely because of traffic and parking.

Last time, I could easily reach home within 15 minutes via DUKE from Jalan Pahang. Now, it takes more than half an hour, sometimes an hour plus! *cry blood*

It took us almost a week to pack approximately 160 boxes from the department. And now, the unpacking is a work in progress. lol.
Still adjusting here and there with the traffic, punctuality and all which I hope I can get over with it soon enough.

Anyways,
We are going off again this coming weekend and I have yet to blog about our (not really) recent trips - Singapore, Langkawi and Legoland. Boo hoo! Will try to blog and give out tips later.

On the other note, this week is my second gym week with GadgetGeek. Our routine is one hour per session, three times a week. He had to bring me along because he has been constantly nagging about our health nowadays. Yes, I had to give in. Bluuergghh.

Meet my new bestfriend

The reason why I don't mind going to the gym because it has a private room for ladies only. So I had the room all to myself. Hehe..

Normally after work out session, we will have our dinner date at the nearby cafe. Usually he will have salad (only)? and this is my default order.

He asked me what is my target for my work out.
Told him, I want like this.

All I need is three months.
Tinggi sunggoh cita-citaku. Bedal nasi berpinggan pinggan hari-hari.

Post #0215 - Chest Physiotherapy (Cupping)

Dear Earthlings,

We finally had to admit Youngster #2 on last Friday night.
Went to see the Paed on Friday afternoon. Negotiated so we can check in on Saturday morning, but the Paed wants to monitor Youngster #2 as soon as possible since we want to check out by Sunday as he wondered why the nebuliser thingy doesnt work.

So around 10pm, I went to the Hospital with the Youngsters. Check in and slept with the two kids in ward. GadgetGeek only came on Saturday morning itself because he had business dinner on that same night.

Anyways,
Same process, nebuliser every 3 hours and antibiotics. This time, the different was the Paed assigned us for chest physiotherapy or commonly known as cupping. FYI, cupping is used to loosen the mucus from the lungs.

How to cup -
Hand position :

Patient position :

The trick is, you have to cup (aka tepuk) at the front/back of the lungs (not the backbone). As well as on the side rib. The reason why the patient has to be lied down on the pillow is to make the lungs tilt.

Struggled, that's why we'd to wrap him
How many times? Depends.
Can do a couple of sets, 3-4 times a day.

Upah -

and Jalan-jalan -

Had buka puasa gathering with GadgetGeek's boss and colleagues. Resorted the Youngsters with our reliable babysitters.

Buka Puasa at Double Tree, Jalan Ampang

Found few articles with regards to chest physio. Feel free to read.

Seriously, I miss to be at home during weekends. Couldn't remember when was the last time we able to melepek. Weekends before we were in Singapore, hospital and recently in Alor Setar.
Sigh.

Found this one entry on steaming and cupping. very useful indeed.
