Post #0263 - Gonna be a tough one

Dear Earthlings,

I have to admit that I am an observer since 12 years ago.
Passed my right (two times to be exacted), didn't register at all. Unlike, GadgetGeek who is .. err.. so patriotic.

Anyways, I may practise my right to vote this year.

1. Went to Kelantan during the Candidate Selection Day and saw green Moon conquering the streets.

2. Picked up few souvenirs for my Boss. She is one die hard fan of Blue.

3. Was curious about these small flags near our neighbourhood until I posted in FB. (That is where you get the latest answer/info/enquiry nowadays)

Received few comments.
Some say, it's the Candy Crush game colour.
Some say, it's Cup Cake Party.

Which ever party who wins this coming election, I hope they serve the best for  Rakyat.

Happy voting everyone!

Post #0170 - Phycho this. Physcho that. I need my ubat.

Dear Earthlings,

I always take things lightly. Like, seriously.
For instance, getting pregnant and the delivery.
I always think that getting pregnant and giving birth is one easy thing.
Literally easy. We did it one shot, and there you are. The test was positive.  Everything was well-planned.
In my two pregnancies & deliveries, I never feel any contraction. So I don't know how painful it is.

I remember, a week before Youngster #1 due (week 39), though there was no pain/contraction but the doctor suggested to induce. I went back and told my mom that I wanted to induce the delivery (where at that point of time I have no idea what is inducement is all about). As expected, my mom lectured me. She told me it is not that easy to give birth. bla..bla..bla.. She briefed me the procedure etc. (ooo.. sakit eh?)

Anyhow, 3 days before the delivery we did the istiqarah and received the signs to go for Caesarean. It was definitely one of the best decisions we made because the doctor also admit that we did the right thing. With cord around the neck (2 rounds) there is no way the baby could survive normal delivery. The cord was tight and the doctor had to release the cord inside my tummy prior lifting the baby. Talking about experience in labour room operation theatre. Eheh.

The funny part was, before I was wheeled to the OT, I told the rest of the family - "Jumpa lagi lepas ni". Huh. Apa punya statement.

Beautiful shot by GadgetGeek

For Youngster #2 delivery, I had one smooth pregnancy. There was not even a day of morning sickness, unlike the first one. I totally forgot about the post delivery pain, which I can only recall on the morning itself. (girls can be bimbs at times)

I can only recall the pain when I saw the bed - 2 hours before operation. pffft.

As I mentioned before, I planned for the third pregnancy when Youngster #2 reaches 18 months old (which is next month). But since I want the date of birth to be on public holiday December 2012/January 2013, I must get pregnant in March.(Physcho isn't it? Who cares)

I went to see my gynae last month. His advise was okay for me to proceed, but there are risks. Better to wait. Something like that lah. We did a little discussion and GadgetGeek prefer to differ the pregnancy to some other year. To me, I just want to get it done and over with. So I agreed to postpone, until last night this topic came up again.

We were talking about having year end trip and he said, "boleh, provided you tak pregnant". Err.. what's that supposed to mean? Is it, ok to be pregnant? Yes? No? I don't know. Maybe I should flip coin.

See, I don't really think beyond the pregnancy. Not even considering about the risks. Never think the possibilities of postpartum bleeding which can end lives. Or even the gynae's warnings. Bottom line, I just want another kid this year.

Anyways, now leaving you with the story of what I always dream during my pregnancies. Do you believe that you might get what you want when you are pregnant? Well, I do!

1) I always want my daughter to have straight + curly wurly hair. And Almighty gave her -

2) I love boys who have curly hair. I find they are too cute!

One of my favourite - My cousin's son.

Yoshy

Yoshy's mommy

And AlMighty gave Youngster #2 -

Ok fine. I'm exaggerating. GadgetGeek has a bit of curly hair, same goes with my dad. So it explains the curly wurly of Youngster #2 :D

Having life with two of them are just perfect.

I have to learn how to be grateful.

Post #0168 - Pink is the love at first sight

Dear Earthlings,

I did my monthly waxing and threading at my favourite place in Bangsar today. I was all happy because the threading cost me RM10 only (eye brows, upper lips and chin) (still  disbelieve)

until I reached home -

Found that our old stove has been replaced with a new one! Couldn't be happier!

Early this month, GadgetGeek bought a replacement stove for our kitchen since the old one has gone kaput. The burner literally melt and the cooking is not fun anymore (since when I love cooking?). Anyways, GadgetGeek bought the wrong size. The new one is bigger than what we have in the kitchen. Hence, it can't fit in our cabinet.
Can't return to the shop because the duration has already lapsed.

Solution?
Our favourite Bro.in.law came to the rescue.

So what he did.. He sawed our cabinet.
Yes, you heard me right. He sawed our cabinet. I think he used something like this -

Sawed here and there, and wallah! It fits in. Perfectly.

I rest my comment when it comes to cleaning.

Dear Earthlings,
We have another 8 days to go before this holy month leaves us.
I feel that I don't do that much for Ramadhan compared to last year. More to malas actually. Sad isn't it.

Anyways, it is confirmed that we will be spending our Raya in KL.
YEAY! Am so happy because it's going to be a Sleep-Eat-TV Raya. No need to face the Raya traffic, the hecticness of visiting, the post trip etc.
The whole one week to rejuvenate which I couldn't ask for more.

I know some people might be saying how selfish I am not to balik kampung etc. Or maybe it's just me, but who cares right.
We already balik Kedah two weeks ago, and will spend our Raya morning at my parent's place in Penchala before we send them to the airport for KB.

For the rest of my sibblings (esp BigSis and LilSis II) my dad had to use his veto power to tell them to balik KB. His line was something like - "Though Mok (our grandma) has passed away, it's the ambience that we have to feel.. yada.. yada.. yada.." His speech went on and on and on..
While LilSis I has no choice because her husband is a Kelantanese :)

Speaking of balik kampung alternately.
As far as I can recall -
2007 - Raya KL (I was down with morning sickness. Spent our Raya morning in Shah Alam)
2008 - Raya Kedah (5 days) & KB
2009 - Raya KB (3 days) & KL
2010 - Raya KL (Gave birth to Youngster #2 - 10 days before Raya)
2011 - Raya KL

It's nice to balik two kampungs for Raya, but it's a bit costly and by the time we reached next kampung on the third day, most of the families were already returned to KL. Hmm.. maybe we should consider of balik to one kampung only per trip next year* (T&C applies)

Whatever it is, bottom line - We will be celebrating Raya in KL this year!!

Post #0081 - Take things for granted I have

Dear Earthlings,
At times.. (err.. I think most of the time) I feel that I take things for granted.
I have to admit that GadgetGeek pampers me a lot and not to brag, but we kinda always have the so-called first class treatment. We want the best service that we can afford. Anything under the par would be no-no. I mean, I take it too.. but not whole heartedly.
When I constantly have fine things, I tend to not appreciate what I have, until my boss lectured me about what life is all about. Boo-hoo!
Karma says, what goes up must comes down.

Previously I told her that I want this.. this.. and this. Have high expectation and demanding what I really want in life.  Avoid some people that I don't favor. Me myself couldn't believe that me behaving in such a way. I swear to you, this is so not me! I was a sweet girl you know :P

I don't know when I started developing this sickness. I believe that I don't appreciate people around me that much. Even my grandmother's grave (who passed away few days after I gave birth to Youngster #2) I have yet to visit. I don't even know where her grave is.
Let alone GadgekGeek's great-great grandmother and grandmother who passed away few months back. We have yet to visit their graves.

I find graveyard is a sad place to be. I don't know.
I was there when my grandfather died 18 years ago. But only visited his grave for the first time two years back, and didn't return ever since. After all, I believe that the Receiver can still get our prayers even we don't visit their grave.

Immediate family, yes I value them. But when it comes to extended family.. I don't care that much. Exception to relatives that we really close.

Which also the reason why Almighty grant GadgetGeek to me. Because most of the time, he will drag me to any family events. But this year, I think he is too tied up with his work. Leaving me freely not attending any family event (touch and go type of family) :P

After a talk with my boss, I realised that it is not physical material that makes us happy. It's the quality time that we spend

On one side, if you don't have any kid yet, then your partner would be your pillar of strength. You have no one but him in this world (apart from your family).

But when the children come into our lives, we should appreciate our time to be with them. Time flies very fast. From newborn  comes the first birthday.. then she started walking.. talking and all you know, she goes to school, find new love and get married. Leaving us. (This is due to numerous complaint to my boss that family outing is one hassle thing)

It's something like the crucial first six years the child will depending on us. Entering the 7th year, she will busy with her school and friends. Then if she excels, she enters the boarding school on the 13th year, leaving us. Fast forward, she will not be with us as it continuously to uni life, and marriage comes into the picture.

Technically, we have about six years only to really-really bond with our children. Then, they will spread their wings and fly.

I have to thank her for pulling me back down to the root.
$$ has distracted me.

Dear Earthlings,
As always, i'm tied up with work. Yeah, like i'm the only who is working in this world. Pfft! Not only that, Youngster #2 was admitted (again) for 6 days due to high fever.

However, i managed to host a mini reunion of primary school - zainab satu (zs) and following day a cousin came over to introduce her fiance to us. Their wedding due early next year, and i believe i will be responsible for her hantaran.

Attended few weddings and birthdays which all these will be published in next entry.
Catch you later alligator!

Dear Earthlings,
I bet you already realised that pictures have started to flood in this page. Initially, I wanted to do some picture  adjustment  (poyo jer) prior posting, but I couldn't find time to do so. Feel sorry for myself.

Seriously, my eyes sore each time I look at the quality of my pictures. It's grainy and blurry.
As I mentioned before, it is about time to get a new one. We went to Nikon Exhibition two weeks ago, but still can't decide on a camera that suit me. Wanted D7000, but later realised that it is not good enough. Mainly because it is not full frame.

So now, I'm waiting for so-called the replacement of D700 this month. Shall see what it has to offer.

Post #0042 : Lining up events

Dear Earthlings,

Well, my presentation for confirmation (next Monday) has been postponed due to my superior’s unexpected early delivery. So, tentatively next 2 months is going to be the presentation date. Though my superior advised to proceed on the scheduled date, but I decided to wait until she’s back in the office. Not sure whether is it a good decision or bad.

Anyways, few plans have been lined up for upcoming months.

End MARCH
“Just the two of us Rendezvous”. One BIG surprise for GadgetGeek which I don’t think he would think of! Haha.. Anticipation is off the roof! (But I have yet to make any booking and I pray for the weather too)

APRIL
mid : Youngster #1 Sports Day (to be held in Setiawangsa/Melawati). GadgetGeek already got her a pair of running shoes. Spoilt!

End : Primary School Reunion (which I can’t wait! The last time we met was circa 1992) Yet to decide on the menu, but GadgetGeek wants to sponsor a lamb. Tengok dulu camne.
Most probably we’ll do at my parent’s place. Therefore, I need to coordinate the table setting etc. Since the number of guests is less than 100 pax, I don’t think it is necessary for me to rent a canopy. Tables can be arranged under the covered entrance.
It has been a while since I last visited my parents. I think more than a month.

Shame. Shame. Our house is less than 5 minutes drive to my parents’ place, but we can’t find time to pay them a visit! I hope by now, my dad has completed the left side of the house. Otherwise, I don’t know where to place the guests! Hahaha.. boleh?
Will have the pre and final meeting two weeks before the event.

MAY
1st : Youngster #1 birthday
Not expecting to have a birthday bash.

JULY
Plan to have kenduri doa selamat for our 4th anniversary. Insha Allah, subject to the venue. If we can’t agree on it, I think we’d to pass. Funny isn’t it? Venue will always be a problem to us.

AUGUST
Youngster #2 birthday and Raya! (Yet to decide on the place to Raya. We had our Raya at my parent’s place last year because I was on confinement. Does that count?). Which also reminds me of ganti puasa. Aisey.. so easy to tak puasa.. so hard to ganti.

Dear Earthlings,

I know it's a long way to go for Raya. We have another 5 more months isn't it? Unlike previous years, I don't really care about celebrating it.

For instance, during my first year of marriage. I was down with morning sickness. So I'd pass.
Second year, I didn't have time to make one Raya dress. So I just picked what ever I have in the closet.
Third year, I was in confinement. (About a week after I delivered Youngster #2.
Fourth year.. which is this year.. I think it's about time for me to have a nice and proper Raya dress.

Right now I'm eyeing for batik. (because the weather is blinking hot) However, the Batik price in KL is killing me. Minimum RM300++. So I contacted my cousin (who lives in Shah Alam) but her family runs a batik business in Kelantan to customade my order. Price wise, (almost) 50% cut from KL's price tag.
Hehe.. Smile on my face

Post #0029 - Hopes March will be a better month after series of unfortunate events.

Dear Earthlings,

January and February were not been kind to us. We've been checking in and out hospitals so frequent, I'd say at least once a week. How bad is that?

We're lucky because some visits were covered by GadgetGeek company's insurance. Like, Youngster #2 bill (admitted from 12/02/11 until 20/02/11 was billed RM7k++). Otherwise, it's definitely gonna cost us headache.
Last week alone, 1 visit for me and another for Youngster #2.
In my recent case, I tried Depo-provera last January. This was my first time in trying out the birth control. The jab  needs to be taken every three months.  As advised by my fav Gynae - Dr. M, I may not get my menstrual during the period. I was happy as a kid when I heard it.

Anyways 3 weeks later, my menstrual paid me a visit. Normally, it should be cleared by latest a week. But then 2 weeks passed but still didn't subside. So I called up Dr. M. According to him, the jab didn't suit me that's why I had menstrual, but it should be over by 16 days.

Yet my menstrual still going on. On the third week, I decided to change my Gynae. Going for the closest hospital to my office, which is Tawakkal. I randomly picked Dr. J and he did ultra sound and everything, plus a week medicine to stop the menstrual.

A week has passed but the result was still the same. (It means I'm having menstrual for more than 5 weeks) At that  particular time I was so frustrated because Youngster #2 was sick, and I can't pray. Feel so hopeless.

Finally, went to see him again last week and he tripled the dose. This time, if the menstrual doesn't stop, I need to go for D&C mainly because my uterus is clear but menstrual still on.

I can't imagine how pain it is to go for D&C. That's why I chose  elective ceasarian (twice) just because I'm scared of what ever the Gynae wants to do 'down there'.

Two days on medication -
So far so good.
Tomorrow, another appointment with my Physician.

Please God. I can still bear the hospital visits for me, but for my kids.. I can't take it anymore.
Hoping for better month.

Dear Earthlings,

Unlike my previous blog,  it filled with tonnes of pictures. It is not that I do not want to place any picture here, (and be so-called mysterious and anonymous) but I'm in search for time to re-install photoshop in my notebook. Again, I do not want to simply place any un editted picture. It makes my eyes sore.
